Worst leg cramp ever

On Wednesday night, I woke up screaming with the worst leg cramp I have ever had. That is saying something, because I have done marathons and Ironman, which reduced my legs to worthless the next day. Luckily for me, my husband woke up right away and got to work massaging my calf. It loosened up and I tried to get up to go to the bathroom when it seized again. My poor hubby had to talk me through the pain while he massage it yet again. He even recommended Lamaze breathing. Thank goodness he was there, because I don't think I could have worked it out by myself. Yesterday, I was walking around like a gimp, but thankfully it is just a little tender today and no other cramps have occurred since then (knock on wood).

Ah, the joys of pregnancy! I think nature makes you go through all of these less than fun symptoms, so you don't want to stay pregnant or keep getting pregnant (although that doesn't explain the Duggars).

So, the weather as you know has been complete crap lately. While I was enjoying the cooler weather for running to not worry about overheating, I can't justify the slippery running surface when I have precious cargo on board. When you add to that the fact that the treadmill exacerbates my shin pain problem, I have officially stopped running. My last run was the day after Christmas with Matt for our annual jingle bell jog. I'm glad I at least got to get that in before stopping.

Now, work is super busy, so I've missed a couple of workouts. I'm so tired these days that getting up super early to get in my workout before coming here for 12+ hours just can't happen. I am meeting BS and TriSara for a swim tomorrow morning, which should be funny with our big preggo bellies!

Well, just 10 or so weeks left before getting to meet our son in the outside world. We really are looking forward to it (even if I am petrified of the birth itself and learning how to care for a newborn).

I'll leave with you with a few pictures from the last couple of weeks:

Oh your belly is getting so cute! I love it. I always said that 9 months is the perfect amount of time to be pregnant b/c by the time you are almost done you are so ready you are not even scared any more, you just want it to be over!

You look adorable! Savor every moment, before you know it he'll be 13 and wanting to know what his first car is going to be.
