Two Months!
Wow, time is flying! My baby boy is now two months old! He is packing on the poundage and is absolutely adorable!
Speaking of poundage, I am losing mine slowly but steadily. I finished the pregnancy up 42 pounds and now I only have 9 pounds to lose. I expect those 9 pounds to be stubborn, especially with my love for chocolate milkshakes and frozen cokes!
My fitness is starting to come around. Biking seems to be the one that is improving the fastest, but I suppose that is no surprise when it was the one event out of the three I was good at to begin with. Running is surprisingly going well also. Bridget and I ran a 5-mile race with the strollers on Saturday and managed a 10:30 pace. Sure, it isn't as fast as I was before, but it is way faster than I expected. I credit getting back up to speed to running with other mommies like Bridget, Eva, Sara and Laura. It is nice to be able to do a group run again and the lunch afterwards rocks as well (see, I told you those 9 pounds would be stubborn).
Swimming is tough. I'm not going to lie to you. I'm sure it doesn't help that I can only get there once a week right now (although very grateful to my MIL and my hubby for making that happen) or that the pool is set up in the 50 meter format, but I thought I would lose the least fitness there having swum until the day before Will was born. Oh well. It is getting better, just slowly. My first triathlon is July 25 at Fairport Harbor (a sprint) and have also signed up for the GCT olympic. Just need to have it in gear by then! : )
Overall, things are going well and I can't complain. Will has slept 6 hours straight the last two nights and it is heavenly. He has great smiles and I'm going to miss him when I go back to work in just over 3 weeks. Sigh. Must get paid, right?

Matt ran it too!
